Happy Women’s History Month! Welcome to the March edition of Take Five! This month, as we celebrate the leadership, resilience, and impact of women across our communities, we are also reflecting on a woman who is leading one of our schools and shaping the futures of our young people in Brookland every day. Principal Tompkins at Bunker Hill Elementary School stands as a powerful example of what leadership can look like when it is grounded in joy, innovation, collaboration, and an unwavering determination to ensure every child experiences the power of learning. She is the only woman leading among the five schools CARE Brookland supports, and she carries that responsibility with purpose and pride. Principal Tompkins embodies the mission of CARE Brookland. She proudly wears her CARE Brookland T shirt, representing all five schools and the collective commitment to strengthening our community’s schools. This Women’s History Month, it is an honor to celebrate Principal Tompkins. She is making history in real time, and we are proud to say she is Brookland.
