Bunker Hill Elementary School is proud to be a collaborative learning community made up of the staff, students, and families we serve. We offer a rigorous and joyful learning environment and instructional program focused on meeting the individual needs of our students and community. We are a member of the Turnaround Arts: DC cohort of schools and offer a variety of art integration strategies and opportunities to engage our students and the broader community.

Vision
Bunker Hill Elementary School strives to create a rigorous learning environment that fosters joy and caring amongst all children, staff, and community members. We will provide a continual focus on understanding our students’ individual needs to provide instruction that builds upon their strengths and moves them towards mastery. In order to ensure that our students are meeting their academic goals, we will continually hone our instructional strategies to focus on real world application and connections for their learning.
Bunker Hill PTO
The Bunker Hill Elementary School creed opens with the words “I am a Bunker Hill Soaring Eagle!” Our bright, wonderful, smart students embody every aspect of this creed. The Bunker Hill Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) strives to create a school community of support for all of our eagles, ensure their wings grow and help them soar.
The Bunker Hill PTO works to support a variety of projects, including: Educational materials for the teachers; Enhanced classroom technology; Class & School pictures; After school activities; Student assemblies and program; PTO “give a book take a Book” Little Library; and Supporting Students & Families in need
